Weeknote 139

  • Last week I carried out full accessibility testing on a new feature in the GOV.UK publishing tools. I’ve done such testing many times before, but I still worry that without input from real users with disabilities, something might slip by unnoticed.
  • At the weekend I headed north of London again to Hertfordshire with my bicycle on the train for a visit to Spoke Café. Despite being grey and cool, minus any sunshine, it was still nice to get outside of the city to ride on pretty countryside lanes without much traffic.
  • I went with Mena to see One Battle After Another at the cinema. I’m usually not one for American blockbuster action films, but this one was surprisingly engaging, featuring superb acting, subtle Latin American Spanish references, and an overall thoroughly enjoyable experience.
