Weeknote 88

• Disgusted and fearful for friends and colleagues this past couple of weeks over the activities of a few fascists. We were told to leave the office early on Wednesday and not come in Thursday/Friday to avoid rumoured gatherings in London.
• Somewhat disappointed by the BBC's catch-up options for the Paris Olympics, which seemed to lack dedicated streams for some sports like cycling, where they had in previous years. Consequently I missed a fair amount of Olympics coverage due to work and other activities taking me away from live broadcast TV.
• Over the weekend I'd a pleasant day trip with a friend to the Sussex coast down at Worthing. We enjoyed a refreshing Mosaic ale and fresh seafood at the Crab Shack.
• Bracing for a few days of high temperatures here in London. Treated myself to a few tubs of my favourite ice cream from Waitrose N.o. 1 range and trying to avoid using the tube wherever possible!
